1966 Corvette Coupe nicely prepared for autocross.
377CI small block at 540HP dyno tested. GM Sportsman block, AFR comp heads, Crower crank, Mahle pistons, Hooker Super Comp headers, and Canton Accusump. Compression is 10.5:1 and runs well on pump gas. Trannie is a T-56 six speed with a Centerforce clutch.
Suspension has Global West delrin bushings, custom valved Bilstein shocks, Eaton custom rear leaf spring, Guldstrand bumpsteer kit, Guldstrand spreader bar, Guldstrand rear cross member reinforcing pucks. Steering is through a quick ratio Delphi power steering box. Rear end is just rebuilt with 3.70 gears, International axles, and solid posi plates.
Car has a full cage for stiffness and Recaro seats. Carpeting has been removed but can be added back in. Body has been flared to accept 17"x11" wheels with 315-35-17 tires.
This car is still driven on the street and is driven to all the autocross tracks. Very tractable and very fast.
